THE AWARDS

There are several awards that  Data Science and Analytics students may be eligible for:

OUTSTANDING INTERNSHIP OR PROFESSIONAL LAB

Description: This award recognizes a student who exceeds expectations throughout their internship or professional lab experience. The Outstanding Internship Award is presented based on the quality of the projects completed through the internship and the evaluation by the internship supervisor. 

Eligibility: Students who have completed DSA 688

 

EXEMPLARY PERFORMANCY UNDER ADVERSITY AWARD

Description: This award recognizes a student for their efforts in overcoming hardship to achieve success in the DSA program. The Exemplary Performance Under Adversity Award is presented based on academic performance in the face of adverse circumstances.  

Eligibility: DSA MS or Certificate student

 

EXCELLENCE IN COLLABORATION AND NETWORKING

Description: This award recognizes a student for their ability to establish collaborative working relationships within both classroom and in the Buffalo Community. The Excellence in Collaboration and Networking Award is presented based on the student’s ability to build partnerships and relationships across organizations to enhance success. 

Eligibility: DSA MS or Certificate student  

 

DSA FACULTY AWARD FOR EXCELLENCE IN OVERALL PERFORMANCE

Description: This award recognizes a student for excellence in their academic performance. The DSA Faculty Award for Excellence in Overall Performance is presented based on exceeding expectations in their performance of the DSA coursework. 

Eligibility: DSA MS student who will be graduating during the award cycle 

 

DSA LEADERSHIP AWARD

Description: This award acknowledges and celebrates leadership that has a significant and positive impact on the DSA learning community. The DSA Leadership Award is presented to a student who shows exemplary leadership qualities and serves as a role model to their peers and the Buffalo State community. 

Eligibility: DSA MS or Certificate student
